Magda Cyran and Tomek Åšmiela met at a training in the section of sport acrobatics in club DKS "Targówek" in Warsaw. Tomek was selected to be the "bottom one" in a mixed pair by couch Ms Gizela ZieliÅ„ska and it was not the first time she made the right choice. After two years of trainings with numerous partners the club decided to treat the matter more seriously and select for Tomek a partner, who would meet the requirements for the "upper one" in a mixed pair, that is a thin, smart and well-stretched girl, who at the same time is strong and talented in gymnastics. Magda was selected by couch Ewa RaczyÅ„ska, who was going to take care of the new duo.


For many years Magda and Tomek took part in many championships and tournaments. They were couched by real professionals. Without Adam Kurtiak, Ewa Raczyńska, Gizela Zielińska and Konrad Zieliński this mixed pair would never reach the professional level, they reached in the peak of their athletic career and have presented on the scene so far. However, it is Mr Ryszard Zapłata who will remain "their" coach forever.

This man spent countless hours will them in a gym for years. Being competent, respected and admired by everybody, he managed to teach the pair many acrobatic elements but also due to him acrobatics became the passion of Magda and Tomek. Ryszard became their friend and they owe to him their success consisting of three Polish senior championships, nine medals won at world`s and European championships and numerous medals won during tournaments in Poland and abroad.

Magda and Tomek`s life was adjusted to acrobatic trainings. After classes, or sometimes even before school classes, they participated in trainings, they spent their holidays at athletic camps, their friends and acquaintances are mostly acrobats. Having observed the lives of an older generation of acrobats, the duo decided to change their status to the professional one. After years of practice they had to start thinking about their future a decision.
