About
About
Meet the band.JACK PINDER
Jack has recently celebrated 30 years in the Entertainment Industry during which he has worked as a Singer, Songwriter, Composer, Pit Musician, Musical Director and Voice Artist. He co-wrote the score for the play ‘Inside The Firm’ about The Kray Twins, during which he spent an interesting weekend with Charlie Kray and other members of that fraternity! As a keyboard player and guitarist, he has toured extensively throughout Europe and the U.K. with a plethora of bands including DooDaa Tzars and more recently with Rolling Stones tributes: The Rolling Scones [see elsewhere on this site], The Strolling Bones, Rollin Clones, Muddy Wolves and as guest artist with Tom Nolan’s Bluescasters. Jack can currently be seen airing his instrumental bent along with his vocal lead for the ever popular Gods of Rock ‘n Roll.
AND ON GUITAR
Recently GODS OF ROCKNROLL have been joined by a number of quite wonderful guitar players including the majestic Ray Majors, the rip-roaring Robin Bibi, ageing Blues legend Jimmy Roachand the irrepressible Pete Parks. Our thanks to them and we look forward to them joining us on stage again.
RICK BIDDULPH
Multi-instrumentalist Rick has graced the credits of a host of successful artists from Spyrogyra, Hatfield and the North andNigel Planer to Dave Stewart and Barbara Gaskin. Collaborations with former members of Caravan and Camel, Green Peace video compositions and his self-penned CD Second Natureestablished Rick as an effective and broad-based musician. Lining up alongside Tom Nolan in both Muddy Wolves andBluescasters as well as appearing with the Eel Pie All Stars, he fell into the lap of The Gods of Rock ‘n Roll.
PHIL HUNTER
Phil Hunter started his professional career as a drummer, with top R&B swing/jazz outfit Answers on a Postcard, and did countless gigs and sessions with Blues bands in the late 70s and early 80s. The mid 80s saw him touring the world with numerous Rock & Roll bands including The Flying Saucers, and backing American R&R stars from the 50s& 60s. The 90s was Tribute time, and he was instrumental in forming the legendary Project X, 60s psychedelia with a nod to Spinal Tap! Tribute shows to Status Quo, T. Rex, Deep Purple followed and is currently with the top Rolling Stones tribute The Strolling Bones; that should be enough to sit with The Gods of Rock and Roll!!
Some clients think that there is a choice to be made between a live band and a disco; they are concerned that their budget won't stretch to cover the cost of both; but there is an alternative. We are often asked to play as a live act and then, using our PA System, we can keep the music going by playing CDs or an mp3 player through our sound equipment. If you prefer, you can supply the cds / mp3 player which effectively means you have full control over the choice of music for your event. Alternatively, we will make up a playlist to suit your event guided by your personal tastes in music, thereby saving on the expense of the need for a separate disco.
