Events

We have played at just about every kind of event you can imagine including:

Weddings

We are asked to play before and after wedding ceremony and sometimes during the ceremony. In the background whilst pictures are being taken or during canapés and champagne.
 

Corporate and Networking Events

We can provide quiet background music for entertaining your clients or a full party setup for staff parties. Our long history of supplying the corporate sector means we can add a level of professionalism that others can’t.
 

Birthday / Other Private Parties

For evening events we provide an excellent mix of laid back music whilst guests arrive or during a meal right through to up beat regae classics to get your feet feet tapping and your guests shouting for more.

Sporting events

The carnival sound of the steel pans is a perfect accompaniment to the energy of any sporting event. We have entertained crowds at everything from youth 5-a-side matches to international sporting fixtures.
 

Workshops / Team Building 

As well as performing we are always keen to pass on our skills to others. We can do taster sessions at primary and nursery schools, group tuition at secondary and unvisity level and corporate team building sessions.
 

Other events

We have played at many other occasions from Bah Mitzvahs to tree planting events so please feel free to get in touch to discuss anything else you have in mind.

We are as at home adding a touch of class and sophistication to a champagne reception as we are adding the summer sunshine feeling to an otherwise muddy festival.
 

The One Island Steel Band draw influence from not one, but many Islands’ cultures and traditions including Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad, St Kitts and others. Our members are equally as diverse, some having travelled here recently while others have had the tradition passed down through many generations.
 

2012 has been a busy year for us (and probably a lot of other steel bands) with a host of Diamond Jubilee and Olympic events (including playing for the Olympic torch to pass eight times). We are now booking for the Christmas and winter season and for summer 2013 and would be delighted to hear form you about any events that you are planning.
